2024 GLASS FLOWS MRIAD TORMS · Marisfrolg Glass Art Exhibition

Inspired by the crystal mountains where glass is smelted, this exhibition transforms its space into a semi-open style maze. It is a one-way loop that encompasses a variety of scenes. Glass artworks from different cultures and perspectives around the world are integrated into every corner of this "maze". Through the rich forms of works presented by the participating artists and designers, visitors are placed in a multi-dimensional and multi-field ecological space derived from "glass art". The exhibition showcases the glass artists' imagination and discussion about the material by exploring the possibilities of glass's characteristics.

Stanislav Libensky, one of the most important glass artists in the 20th century, once explored how to use the optical properties of glass and the perception of the observer to create the visual illusion of transparency. He explored the real-virtual relationship of space through the translucency of glass, making the works not only a physical existence but also including the spatial experience jointly created by light and transparent materials, thus creating a dynamic interaction and far-reaching artistic conception visually. Through a deep and abstract understanding of the glass material, the fashion design and styling of Marisfrolg's winter glass art workshop series start from clothing and explore the concept of "transparency" in glass in terms of physics and phenomena related to fashion design.
